A photograph captures an intricately detailed brass statue of the Hindu deity Shiva in the form of Nataraja, the Lord of the Dance. The statue is positioned centrally on a light-coloured wooden shelf, showing Shiva in a dynamic cosmic dance pose with multiple arms (four clearly visible) within a large circular, flame-fringed halo. He balances on his right leg on a prostrate figure, and his left leg is raised. The background, which is slightly out of focus, features a framed chart pinned to a white wall, displaying rows and rows of small illustrative human figures in various yoga asanas (poses), arranged in a sequence with unreadable descriptive text below each pose. The statue has a worn, aged metal finish. The perspective is frontal.

Location

The classes at Ashtanga Yoga Hull are taught from a dedicated yoga space on the boundary of Cottingham and Hull. This space is fully equipped with everything that you may need for your practice, but please bring your own mat for hygiene purposes. The space is small, meaning that class sizes are never more than 6 students at once, giving even more opportunity for students to have a one on one interaction with the teacher.

You can see the location of Ashtanga Yoga Hull in the Google map below.

Our address is: 45 Hull Road, Cottingham, HU16 4PN

There is on-street parking on the nearby Outlands Road or on Hull Road itself. When you arrive please walk round the right hand side of the house, come through the double gates and walk through to the back of the house. You will be able to enter the studio through the patio doors in the back garden.
